Chupke Chupke Rukte Rukte - Nutan, Lata Mangeshkar, Paying Guest song

Nutan, Dev Anand and this song! :)

I am strong woman,
although I am poor,
I look after my father
and earn the supper...

We are looking for a paying guest
for our first floor,s of
preferable age is eighty,
with a hunch and eyesight blur :)

(haven't completed the poem! )

And enters Dev Anand as Rakesh,
with all the tricks to save his
paying guest accommodation,
win Nutan's heart, triumph a court case..
and YES! Glorify the virtue hard work and honesty..
and Love over fortune! :)

The movie has such AMAZING songs
that are timeless! :)

Good Blogging...:)

Good blogging is never about expensive lifestyle.

On the contrary finding beauty in ordinary...

but it does require you to have good photographic skills,

basic knowledge of focus, angles and colours...

It encourages you to capture aesthetic portraits,

and makes you a travel photographer..making you

observant towards capturing beauty...in mundane things...

Recommending great picture books, movies,

literature...enhancing your cultural awareness...

Its your safe Haven on this abundant world of internet!

Make it a creative playground...by being a good photographer,

a poet, a movie reviewer, a traveler...

And let the reader in your window of storytelling!

your inspirations, your happy places...etc..

And sorrows if you wish too...

I work on my art to give hope, not to take it away! :)

My summer dump! :)

May your summer be spent behind

soft Jaipuri fabrics, picking berries,

clicking fragrant and colourful flowers,

this season has to offer, finding beautiful

printed tiles, sipping watermelon juice,

while crunching fresh lettuce and

mint chutney and enjoying a

healthy fruit bowl topped with chia seeds :)

and clicking pictures of your precious pets!

Let the season be creative, colourful and cool! :)

No matter what life throws at you!

Yum! Mexican food!

Guacamole anyone ;p

Judith Kerr, author of 'The Tiger Who Came To Tea' - in her own words

She is awfully enchanting!...
I wish she was my grandma! :)

what a LEGEND!

Judith Kerr :)

I was first introduced to Judith Kerr and Tiger who came to Tea by my late father!

He had a hobby of reading comics and picture books, Tin Tin, Archie Digest, and one of them

was Tiger who came to Tea....

The simple yet funny illustrations left an impact on my mind as

a child, and made me think if I could illustrate a story like this....

Later learnt a lot about Judith and her successful escape from Germany..

and 'When Hitler stole Pink Rabbit'

Forever in love with this quirky story and its cute illustrations... :)

I dream to age and grow old like Judith, keep illustrating and telling lovely stories!

Jhumka Nirzara - Parakh :)

Can't get over this pretty song, Jhumka :)

when you sing Jhumka, dress accordingly :)

Adhi raat jab chand dhale - Paheli - Gulzar Saab

My attempt of this beautifully composed, (in your face) kind of a song,
written by Gulzar  Saab. Had a privilege of illustrating one of his poems
for a publisher two years back :)

Just adore the folk touch to this song's composition! :)

Directors’ Cuts: “Become Microscope” by Aaron Rose

I usually go back to Corita when I am searching for inspiration as an
illustrator. This extraordinary artist and educator always comes across,
as a smart little girl, who just seems mesmerised by colours and art..
And deeply rooted in truth and faith about GOD...

'Life is just a bowl of cherries sometimes'
'Press of my boot to the Earth springs a thousand affections'

such profound but positive and refreshing outlook
of looking at life....

Love you Corita :)

THE WORLD IS HER PAINTBRUSH AND HER COLOURS ARE BRIGHT :D
