Kashmir ki kali - As the drama unfolds....

You find out that I am a rich man...
and start feeling betrayed and run ...
you vanish and return the engagement ring...

on the other hand, a news given by
my dying aunt has shattered my world,
as I question my very existence to find
that I am not my mother's son..

I immerse myself in alcohol...
and drive in the rain aimlessly...
I come to the very lavish house...
(which was once mine)
with a resolve that I shall find
my mother's real daughter....

I am eager to tell you that I am
not a prince anymore....just a son
of a ragged drunk criminal...who swapped me
with a little girl....
the real successor of the property

I rush to the valley to find the man
who met my aunt...and injured her and
left her to die...I am shocked to find out
that its the the same loafer who has
forced you to marry him...

By blackmailing your blind father...
who once was a drunk criminal...
and my my real parent...

And I am here to tell you that
you are the real princess...
daughter of the queen....

I unite you with the queen..
and that should end this drama..
but the loafer wants to
marry you to snatch all your belonging

and before you know I am beating him up...
he ties me and kidnaps you...
I somehow free myself to save you...
with a determination to put you in your real house...

I fight this rogue in the middle of
of sag-van factory..he escapes to the waterfall
I knock him down...in the freezing water...
and the cops arrive...and take him to the custody...

I unite with you the real princess...of this rich dynasty...
and we live happily ever after....:)

After independence the kingdoms were merged,
and suddenly these rich dynasties lost all their power...
This was the time when movies like Kashmir ki kali, Rajkumar were made...

It showcased...these rich people and their complex politics for the position..

An ode to - Kashmir ki kali....

Fed up by doing what his
Royal mother says,
he refuses to marry a prospective
'queen', and is on a quest of a girl,
who is in love him and not the money.

dramatic and stubborn,
he is driving into the lush vallies of Kashmir,
an escape from the Palace,
wishing to find himself love,
that his mind knows but who's face is still blurry

He has met a girl,
who has unwittingly drenched him,
with a bucket of water,
while he is setting up a campfire...
and given him a quilt later.

In a bouquet of flowers,
that this girl is set out to sell,
she looks like the most
exquisite flower indeed.

like a crescent of moon,
she glows when she smiles,

and he finds himself singing
her praises in a strand of shakaras....
floating over his new feelings....

(To be continued....)

Somehow I imagine this romance like
story of grandpa and grandma (in general)
who are meant to be together.....
makes me feel nostalgic...

I think coral red is a dominant colour in the entire film...
which is very refreshing...
